Sat 21 Around The World In 80 Tastes – Persia
1930 hrs

A quick scout around Milton Keynes shows there's an abundance of exotic and ethnic choices of food, so we thought we'd embark on a theme of events entitled 'Around The World In 80 Tastes' with the intention of 'travelling the world' and exploring cuisines with a difference. Our first destination is the Middle East - join us on a magic carpet to...the City of Shiraz in Persia that sits along the Aqaj River. Eat with Persians, Azaris, visiting Bakhtiyari nomads and maybe even some MKIVC! Take in some dolme bademjan (stuffed aubergine) or gaz (nougat with pastachio) while drinking chay and smoking a qalyan (water pipe). Seriously, the Shiraz (located slightly less exotically in the Food Centre) is MK’s first Persian restaurant and offers an array of authentic Persian cooking in atmospheric surroundings and if that wasn’t enough, on Saturdays they include live belly dancers - so come and extend your palette (and your sights!).
