Sat 11 Around The World In 80 Tastes – Persia

Unfortunately last month we had to take a detour (via Africa) due to the Shiraz being fully booked for the Persian New Year. But we’re happy to confirm our continuing journey around the world sampling exotic foods will reach Persia this month. So join us on a magic carpet to...the City of Shiraz in Persia that sits along the Aqaj River. Eat with Persians, Azaris, visiting Bakhtiyari nomads and maybe even some MKIVC! Take in some dolme bademjan (stuffed aubergine) or gaz (nougat with pastachio) while drinking chay and smoking a qalyan (water pipe). Seriously, the Shiraz, (located slightly less exotically in the Food Centre) is MK’s first Persian restaurant and offers an array of authentic Persian cooking in atmospheric surroundings and if that wasn’t enough, don’t forget that on Saturdays they have live belly dancers - so come and feast on more than just good food!
